Here’s a simple recipe for Steak and Shrimp Hibachi that you can make at home:
Ingredients:
- For the Steak:
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 6-8 oz each)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- For the Shrimp:
- 12-15 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- For the Vegetables:
- 1 small zucchini, sliced into thin rounds
- 1/2 onion, sliced into rings
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- For the Rice:
- 2 cups cooked white rice (preferably cold)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- For the Sauce:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Steak:
- Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and a bit of soy sauce. Let them marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.
- Heat a grill or griddle pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp olive oil. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side (for medium-rare), depending on your preferred doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and a dash of soy sauce.
