Sliced Baked Potatoes

Here’s a simple and tasty recipe for Sliced Baked Potatoes that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside!

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium russet potatoes (or your preferred type)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional for color)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Sour cream or ranch (optional, for dipping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Potatoes:

    • Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
    • Slice the potatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds. You can leave the skin on for extra texture and flavor.
  3. Season the Potatoes:

    • Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil (or melted butter) and toss to coat evenly.
    • Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, and toss again to ensure all the slices are seasoned.
  4. Arrange the Slices:

    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
    • Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. If needed, use two baking sheets to ensure they aren’t overcrowded, so they get crispy.
  5. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  6. Optional Toppings:

    • Once baked, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the potatoes while they are still hot for extra flavor.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
  7. Serve:

    • Serve the baked potato slices hot with a side of sour cream, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce.
