Pesto & Burrata Flatbread Pizza a fresh, elegant take on pizza that’s perfect for quick dinners, appetizers, or entertaining.


🍕 Pesto & Burrata Flatbread Pizza

Ingredients (Serves 2–4):

For the base:

  • 2 flatbreads (naan, pita, or store-bought flatbread work well)

  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil

For the toppings:

  • 1/2 cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1–2 balls of fresh burrata cheese

  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: red chili flakes, balsamic glaze, arugula


Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:

    • Set to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the flatbread:

    • Brush each flatbread with olive oil.

    • Spread a generous layer of pesto over the top, leaving a small border around the edges.

  3. Add tomatoes:

    • Scatter halved cherry tomatoes over the pesto. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  4. Bake:

    • Bake the flatbread for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the tomatoes are slightly roasted.

  5. Add the burrata:

    • Remove from the oven. Tear the burrata into pieces and gently place it on the hot flatbread so it slightly melts.

    • Drizzle with a little olive oil or balsamic glaze if desired.

  6. Garnish and serve:

    • Top with fresh basil leaves (and arugula if using).

    • Sprinkle red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.


🧀 Tips:

  • For a crispier base, pre-bake the flatbread for 2–3 minutes before adding toppings.

  • Use sun-dried tomatoes or caramelized onions for a gourmet twist.

  • Want protein? Add grilled chicken or prosciutto before baking.
