Posted on May 31, 2025

Hereโ€™s a detailed and decadent recipe for Nutella & Mascarpone Tiramisu โ€” a modern twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of creamy mascarpone, rich Nutella, and espresso-soaked ladyfingers. No eggs, no baking, just pure indulgence.

๐Ÿซโ˜• Nutella & Mascarpone Tiramisu

๐Ÿ”ธ Serves: 8โ€“10

๐Ÿ”ธ Prep Time: 25 minutes | Chill Time: 4+ hours or overnight

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients

For the Cream Layer:

  • 16 oz (450 g) mascarpone cheese, softened

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold

  • 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar, sifted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Nutella Layer:

  • 3/4 cup (180 g) Nutella

  • 2โ€“3 tbsp heavy cream (to soften Nutella for spreading)

For the Ladyfingers:

  • 1 pack (approx. 7 oz or 200 g) savoiardi (ladyfinger biscuits)

  • 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled

  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (like Kahlรบa or optional)

For Topping:

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

  • Optional: chocolate shavings, crushed hazelnuts, or Nutella drizzle

๐Ÿฅฃ Instructions

๐Ÿ”น Step 1: Make the Mascarpone Cream

  1. In a large bowl, beat the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Do not overmix. Set aside.

๐Ÿ”น Step 2: Prepare the Nutella

  1. In a small bowl, whisk Nutella with 2โ€“3 tbsp heavy cream to create a smooth, spreadable consistency. Set aside.

๐Ÿ”น Step 3: Dip the Ladyfingers

  1. Pour the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur (if using) into a shallow dish.

  2. Quickly dip each ladyfinger for 1โ€“2 seconds on each side (do not soak them too long or they’ll fall apart).

๐Ÿ”น Step 4: Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. In a 9×9-inch dish or similar, place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.

  2. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

  3. Drizzle or spread half the Nutella gently over the mascarpone layer.

  4. Repeat the layers:

    • Dipped ladyfingers

    • Remaining mascarpone cream

    • Remaining Nutella

  5. Smooth the top with a spatula.

๐Ÿ”น Step 5: Chill and Finish

  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and add optional chocolate shavings or a Nutella drizzle for flair.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Serving Tips

  • Serve cold, sliced into squares.

  • Great with espresso or dessert wine.

  • You can also assemble in individual cups or jars for a party-friendly version.

๐Ÿ” Variations

  • Add hazelnuts: Layer chopped toasted hazelnuts between layers for crunch.
