🍤🍖🥦 Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage, and Broccoli

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 15 min

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced (andouille or kielbasa work great)
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage:
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add sausage slices and cook until browned and slightly crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook the Broccoli:
In the same skillet, add another tbsp olive oil.
Toss in broccoli florets, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 4-5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender but still crisp. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the Shrimp:
Add remaining 1 tbsp olive oil to the skillet.
Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to skillet. Cook 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (~30 seconds).
Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
Let the sauce simmer for 2 minutes.
If you want a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
  5. Combine Everything:
Return sausage, broccoli, and shrimp to the skillet.
Toss well to coat in the honey garlic sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Serve:
Serve immediately over steamed rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice.
