Garlic Mushrooms chicken

Here’s a savory and satisfying dish: Garlic Mushroom Chicken—juicy, pan-seared chicken simmered in a rich garlic butter mushroom sauce. It’s quick enough for weeknights but tastes like a restaurant-quality meal.


🍄 Garlic Mushroom Chicken

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 25 min


🛒 Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional, for color)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button work well)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or dry white wine)
  • ½ cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter version)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep Chicken:
    Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  2. Sear Chicken:
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    Sear chicken for 4–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F). Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Cook Mushrooms:
    In the same pan, add butter and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and softened.
    Add garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
  4. Deglaze & Make Sauce:
    Pour in chicken broth or wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits.
    Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan (if using). Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Finish:
    Return chicken to the pan and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes to warm through.
    Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

📝 Serving Ideas

  • Over mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, or cauliflower mash
  • With a side of steamed green beans, asparagus, or garlic bread
