Ingredients:
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (or fresh, chopped)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
-
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and scrub the potatoes well. Pat them dry with a towel. Use a fork to prick each potato a few times.
-
Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil (or melted butter), minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
-
Coat the Potatoes: Rub the seasoning mixture all over the potatoes, making sure they’re well coated.
-
Bake the Potatoes: Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack (or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper) and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
-
Optional Toppings: When done, remove the potatoes from the oven. If you like, you can cut a slit in the middle of each potato, fluff the inside with a fork, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Return them to the oven for another 5 minutes if you’re adding cheese, to allow it to melt.
-
Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a touch of color and added flavor.
-
Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot as a side dish or with a protein for a complete meal!
This dish pairs perfectly with roasted meats, salads, or even a simple veggie side! Enjoy!
