Egg Roll in a Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork (or ground chicken/turkey)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
- 1/2 head of green cabbage, shredded (about 5 cups)
- 2 large carrots, shredded or julienned
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil (or any cooking oil)
- Optional: red pepper flakes or sriracha for heat
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground pork and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
