Here’s a delightful recipe for a Creamy Almond Cake—rich, moist, and packed with nutty almond flavor. It’s perfect for any occasion, from brunch to dessert, and pairs beautifully with coffee or tea.


🍰 Creamy Almond Cake

🌰 Ingredients:

For the cake:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole preferred)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For the creamy almond topping:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

🔹 Make the Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round or square cake pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flours, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the batter, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

🔹 Make the Creamy Almond Topping:

  1. In a saucepan, combine cream, butter, brown sugar, and salt. Heat over medium until butter is melted and mixture just begins to bubble.
  2. Stir in sliced almonds, then remove from heat.

🔹 Finish the Cake:

  1. Remove cake from oven about 5 minutes before it’s fully done.
  2. Carefully spread the almond cream topping evenly over the cake.
  3. Return cake to oven and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until the topping is golden and bubbling slightly.

🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • Dust with powdered sugar for elegance.
  • Add a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
