Chicken Wing Boil

Here’s a flavorful and easy Chicken Wing Boil recipe β€” a fun twist on a seafood boil, but using juicy chicken wings instead! It’s bold, buttery, and packed with spices. Great for sharing!


πŸ— Chicken Wing Boil

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 lbs chicken wings (split at joints, tips removed if desired)
  • 4–6 small red potatoes, halved
  • 3 ears corn, cut into thirds
  • 1 smoked sausage link, sliced (optional)
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 cups chicken broth (or just use all water)
  • 2–3 tbsp Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne (optional for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 stick (Β½ cup) butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Base:
    • In a large stockpot, combine water, broth, lemon halves, Old Bay, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
    • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add Potatoes & Corn:
    • Add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
    • Add corn and sausage (if using); cook another 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add Chicken Wings:
    • Add chicken wings to the pot and boil for 15–20 minutes, until fully cooked and tender.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
    • Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
    • Optional: Stir in a bit more seasoning or hot sauce for extra flavor.
  5. Drain & Toss:
    • Drain the boil (or use a slotted spoon to remove everything).
    • Place wings, potatoes, corn, and sausage in a large bowl or tray.
    • Pour garlic butter sauce over the top and toss to coat.
  6. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra lemon wedges if desired.
    • Serve hot with paper towels β€” it’s messy and delicious!
