🔥 Cajun Shrimp and Steak Delight

🍽️ Serves: 3–4 | ⏱️ Total Time: ~35 minutes

🧂 Ingredients:

For the protein:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized strips
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2–3 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the sauce:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning (extra, to taste)
  • Optional: A pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat

🔪 Instructions:

1. Season the Meat & Shrimp

  • Toss steak strips and shrimp separately with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. Cook the Steak

  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear steak for 3–5 minutes, until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.

3. Cook the Shrimp

  • In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed.
  • Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

4. Make the Sauce

  • Reduce heat to medium. Add 1 tbsp butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in heavy cream, paprika, and a touch more Cajun seasoning.
  • Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

5. Combine

  • Add steak and shrimp back into the pan.
  • Toss to coat everything in the sauce. Simmer 2 more minutes to heat through.

🍝 Serving Suggestions:

  • Over fettuccine or linguine
  • On top of garlic mashed potatoes
  • With a side of buttery corn and sautéed greens
  • Or even stuffed in a toasted hoagie roll for a Cajun surf-and-turf sandwich

🌶️ Want More Heat?

  • Add cayenne or sliced jalapeños
  • Use blackened seasoning instead of Cajun for a bolder flavor
