Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Cabbage and Ground Beef. It’s a hearty and flavorful dish that combines savory ground beef with tender cabbage, perfect for a comforting meal!

Cabbage and Ground Beef
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef

1 small head of cabbage, chopped (about 4 cups)

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (optional, for extra flavor)

1 cup beef broth (or water)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions:
Cook the ground beef:

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if needed.

Add the onion and garlic:

Once the beef is browned, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pan.

Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion is soft and translucent.

Add the cabbage:

Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Stir it into the beef and onion mixture.

Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage begins to soften.

Season the dish:

Add the diced tomatoes (if using), beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Stir everything together, cover the pan, and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the flavors are well combined.

Final adjustments:

Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt, pepper, or Worcestershire sauce if desired.

Serve:

Serve the cabbage and ground beef mixture hot, either on its own or with a side of rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.

Optional Variations:
Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) on top for an extra cheesy touch.

Spicy: Add red pepper flakes or a bit of hot sauce to give the dish some heat.

Vegetables: You can add other vegetables like carrots, bell peppers, or zucchini for added flavor and nutrition.

This Cabbage and Ground Beef dish is simple, filling, and perfect for a weeknight dinner. Enjoy!
