Here’s a rich and old-fashioned Black Walnut Fudge recipe β€” smooth, creamy chocolate with the bold, earthy crunch of black walnuts. Perfect for holiday trays or nostalgic homemade treats.

  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup black walnuts, chopped
  • Pinch of salt

  1. Prep the pan:
    • Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil, and lightly grease it.
  2. Melt the fudge base:
    • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine:
      • Chocolate chips
      • Sweetened condensed milk
      • Butter
    • Stir continuously until melted and smooth (do not overheat or let it boil).
  3. Add flavor:
    • Remove from heat and stir in:
      • Vanilla extract
      • Pinch of salt
      • Chopped black walnuts
  4. Set the fudge:
    • Pour the mixture into your prepared pan.
    • Spread evenly and smooth the top.
  5. Chill:
    • Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until firm.
