Banana Split Fluff Salad

Posted on March 30, 2025

Banana Split Fluff Salad is a fun and delicious dessert salad that combines all the flavors of a banana split into a creamy, fluffy dish! It’s super easy to make and perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, or any time you’re craving a sweet treat.

Banana Split Fluff Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 (5 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, halved (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate pieces)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional, for crunch)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pudding Base:
    • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
    • Once the pudding is thickened, gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Combine the Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, add the sliced bananas, drained crushed pineapple, maraschino cherries, mini chocolate chips, and optional marshmallows and nuts (if using).
    • Gently fold in the pudding mixture, stirring until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Chill:
    • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the Banana Split Fluff Salad for at least 1-2 hours to let the flavors meld together.
  4. Serve:
    • Just before serving, garnish with additional mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and extra maraschino cherries.

This dessert is creamy, fruity, and has all the classic banana split toppings in a fluffy, easy-to-serve salad form. Enjoy the sweetness, and let me know how it turns out or if you want to tweak any ingredients!
