Here’s a Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Dessert recipe that’s easy, wholesome, and incredibly satisfying — perfect for a sweet treat that doesn’t require fancy ingredients. Think of it as a cross between a cookie and a brownie, but made with bananas and oats!


🍌 Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Bars (No Flour, One Bowl!)

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 20–25 minutes
Servings: 9 squares


📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats
  • ¼ cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

🔸 1. Preheat Oven:

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

🔸 2. Mix the Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Add peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla, baking soda, and salt.
  • Stir in the oats until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

🔸 3. Bake:

  • Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden and set.
  • Let cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.

🍫 Optional Add-Ins:

  • Chopped walnuts or pecans
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Extra banana slices on top for decoration

✅ Quick Tips:

  • For a softer texture, use quick oats. For more chew, use rolled oats.
  • You can also make these into cookies — just drop spoonfuls on a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes.
