Apple pancakes are a delicious, cozy twist on traditional pancakes—perfect for fall mornings or anytime you want something warm, sweet, and fruity.


🍎 Apple Pancakes Recipe (Fluffy & Delicious)

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar (white or brown)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) buttermilk (or milk + 1 tsp vinegar/lemon juice)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Add-ins:

  • 1 medium apple, peeled and grated or finely chopped (e.g., Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Make the Batter:
    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and gently mix until just combined—lumps are okay!
    Fold in the grated or chopped apple.
  4. Cook the Pancakes:
    • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and grease lightly with butter or oil.
    • Scoop ¼ cup of batter per pancake.
    • Cook until bubbles form on top and the edges look set (about 2–3 min), then flip and cook another 1–2 min.
  5. Serve Warm:
    Top with maple syrup, a dusting of powdered sugar, apple slices, or even caramel sauce for a treat.

🍏 Variations:

  • Chunky apple pieces for more texture
  • Add chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans)
  • Add raisins or dried cranberries
  • Try apple pie spice instead of just cinnamon
