Here’s a cozy and healthy Apple Cinnamon Cake recipe — soft, moist, and full of warm flavor. You can make it as a loaf, in a square pan, or even as muffins!


🍎 Apple Cinnamon Cake (Healthy & Moist)

✅ Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour (or all-purpose, or a mix)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped or grated (about 1 ½ cups)
  • 2 eggs (or flax eggs for vegan)
  • ⅓ cup olive oil, coconut oil, or melted butter
  • ⅓ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (or unsweetened applesauce for dairy-free)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk of choice (if batter seems too thick)
  • Optional: ¼ cup chopped nuts (walnuts/pecans) or raisins

🥣 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch pan or loaf pan with parchment.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk dry ingredients:
    Flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk wet ingredients:
    Eggs, oil, honey/maple syrup, yogurt/applesauce, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
  5. Fold in apples and any optional add-ins like nuts or raisins. If the batter feels too thick, stir in 1–2 tbsp milk.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes (for 8×8 pan) or 40–45 minutes (loaf pan), or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

📝 Tips

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top before baking.
  • Tastes even better the next day as the flavors develop.
  • Can be frozen in slices—just wrap well.
