🧂 Cake Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups toasted pecans, chopped

🍯 Caramel Glaze Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Grease and flour a Bundt pan or a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. Make the Cake Batter

  • Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–5 minutes).
  • Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the batter, beginning and ending with flour. Stir in vanilla and fold in pecans.

3. Bake

  • Pour into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

4. Make the Caramel Glaze

  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add brown sugar and stir until melted and bubbling.
  • Stir in cream and let simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla and a pinch of salt.

5. Glaze and Serve

  • Pour the warm caramel glaze over the cooled cake.
  • Let it soak in a bit, slice, and serve!

💡 Tips:

  • To toast pecans: Bake at 350°F for 5–7 minutes, stirring once.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or bourbon to the caramel for a fun twist.
  • Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for longer.
