1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tbsp lime juice (or lemon juice)
-
1 tsp honey or brown sugar (optional, for balance)

Salt and black pepper to taste
-
Fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley, optional for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Chicken:
-
Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create thin fillets.

Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.

Marinate (Optional but recommended):

Toss chicken fillets in the marinade and let sit for 15–30 minutes.
-

Sear the Chicken:

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Once hot, add the marinated chicken fillets.

Cook 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp should be 165°F / 75°C).
-
If garlic begins to burn, reduce heat slightly.

Rest and Serve:
-
Let chicken rest for 3–5 minutes before slicing.
