Here’s a super easy and ultra-addictive recipe for Crack Green Beans β€” a Southern-style side dish where canned green beans are baked in a sweet, salty, savory glaze made with bacon, brown sugar, and butter. They’re called “crack” green beans because people can’t stop eating them!

πŸ“ Ingredients:

  • 5 (14.5 oz) cans green beans, drained
  • 12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: pinch of black pepper or red pepper flakes for kick

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. Arrange green beans in a 9×13” baking dish. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the top.
  3. Make the glaze:
    In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
  4. Pour the glaze evenly over the green beans and bacon.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30–40 minutes, or until bubbly and caramelized.
