Ingredients:
-
8 chicken drumsticks
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for browning)
-
1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or homemade seasoning)
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
1/4 cup chicken broth (optional, for moisture)
Instructions:
-
Optional: Brown the Drumsticks
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken drumsticks for about 2-3 minutes per side to give them a little extra color and flavor. This step is optional but adds a nice touch. -
Prepare the Crock Pot
If you want extra moisture, pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the Crock Pot. Otherwise, you can skip this step, as the chicken will release its juices as it cooks. -
Season the Drumsticks
In a small bowl, mix the ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub this seasoning mix over each drumstick. -
Cook
Place the seasoned drumsticks into the Crock Pot. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken should be tender and fully cooked when done. -
Optional: Crisp the Skin
If you want crispy skin, you can transfer the cooked drumsticks to a baking sheet and broil them in the oven for 3-5 minutes until the skin crisps up. -
Serve
Once the drumsticks are done, serve them with your favorite sides and enjoy!
This recipe is super easy, and the Crock Pot does all the work. You can mix up the seasonings depending on your taste or add some barbecue sauce for extra flavor at the end!
