Greek pasta salad

Here’s a fresh, vibrant, and easy Greek Pasta Salad recipe that’s perfect for picnics, BBQs, or a quick lunch. Loaded with classic Mediterranean flavors — crisp veggies, olives, feta, and a zesty dressing!


🇬🇷 Greek Pasta Salad

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4–6


📝 Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (rotini, penne, or bow ties work great)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh oregano or 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)

🥗 Dressing:

  • ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta:
    Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool. Drain well.
  2. Prepare veggies:
    While pasta cooks, prep tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, and herbs.
  3. Make dressing:
    In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, Dijon mustard, oregano, salt, and pepper until emulsified.
  4. Combine:
    In a large bowl, toss together pasta, veggies, olives, and feta. Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Chill:
    Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
  • Use fresh herbs like dill or mint for a twist.
  • For a vegan option, omit feta or substitute with a plant-based cheese.
