Here’s a quick and flavor-packed recipe for Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp — juicy shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a splash of lemon for brightness. It’s ready in under 20 minutes and perfect over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail on or off)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tbsp)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: extra lemon wedges for serving

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep the Shrimp:
    Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and a little lemon zest.
  2. Sauté Garlic:
    Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
    Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 30 seconds, just until fragrant (don’t brown the garlic).
  3. Cook the Shrimp:
    Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
    Stir in lemon juice and remaining 2 tbsp butter. Toss until shrimp are coated and the sauce is slightly thickened, about 1 more minute.
  4. Finish & Serve:
    Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
    Serve immediately over pasta, rice, zoodles, or with toasted bread.

📝 Tips & Variations

  • Add a splash of white wine before the lemon juice for extra depth.
  • Toss with angel hair pasta or linguine for an easy dinner.
  • Use ghee or plant-based butter for a dairy-free version.
