Here’s a flavorful and easy recipe for Cajun Shrimp Pasta β€” creamy, spicy, and loaded with tender shrimp and a zesty Cajun kick!

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 20 min


πŸ›’ Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Β½ cup chicken broth
  • Β½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

  1. Cook Pasta:
    Boil salted water and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season Shrimp:
    Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  3. Cook Shrimp:
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    Add shrimp and cook 2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. SautΓ© Veggies:
    In the same skillet, add garlic, onion, and bell pepper (if using). Cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Make Sauce:
    Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
    Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine & Serve:
    Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in sauce.
    Add cooked pasta and toss again.
    Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges if desired. Serve immediately.

  • For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
  • Swap heavy cream for half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for more veggies.
