Cranberry Orange Pecan Cream Cheese Spread

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries (Craisins)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (toasted, optional)
  • 1 tsp orange zest (from 1 small orange)
  • 1–2 tbsp orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Pinch of salt (optional, enhances flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the add-ins
    • Chop the cranberries and pecans for easier mixing and better distribution.
    • Toast the pecans in a dry pan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes (optional, enhances flavor).
  2. Mix the base
    • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth using a hand mixer or sturdy spoon.
  3. Add flavor
    • Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, and honey/maple syrup. Mix until well combined.
  4. Fold in cranberries & pecans
    • Gently fold in the chopped cranberries and pecans.
  5. Chill (optional)
    • For best flavor, chill for 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Spread on bagels, toast, croissants, or English muffins.
  • Use as a dip for apple slices or graham crackers.
  • Swirl into pancakes or waffles as a filling.
